unga interface lookup

I've been programming the new unga interface for more than two weeks, its face, and it really rocks, sincerely. Of course I am its daddy and... what can a father say about his own baby apart from good things?

So I'm going to show you that with some screen captures so everybody will say ooooooohhh, aaaaaaaahhh and congratulate me.

Before starting, some explanations about how it works:

Thoughts about Opensim (unga I)

We have been using Opensim for more than one year. In the beggining our only interest was to evaluate it as a platform for our architecture projects, but it grips us (well.. os grips me, Impalah, because I like new little toys) and soon we started to use it often to make prototypes (well... Asha uses it, because me, Impalah, have problems even for dragging a texture to a prim).

unga - Opensim UGAIM server

Imagine a reliable, scalable, with a very high performance and running on almost every actual "middle price" hosting Opensim Grid. Also imagine that you won't need 5 UGAIM servers, just 1.

Imagine that you can control all your Opensim regions, all your users, all your extensions from a web interface, without making dirty tricks like direct access to database.

Operation Verbosity

In the beginning we wanted to call it Operation Crapstorm, but we preferred to give it a more polite name for not being censored if anyone links the article.

From now on we’ll start to explain what we do in ai and how we do it. Any triviality, from the problems we have to adjust photorealistic textures due to limitations of Second Life (to avoid real pieces of shit we had seen very promoted, by others…) to the success or failure of the high tech proyects we are involved in.

Henshin V is here

Henshin V is ready!

In the next hours all former Henshin users will be updated to the new version.

All the downloads are available, check out the new Henshin V documentation.

Oh! And don't forget the video.

Greetings

Browsers, ai design studio and Microsoft Internet Explorer

Due to the problems that Microsoft Internet Explorer had following web standards, and tired of wasting time patching for this annoying browser the web applications we will provide through this web, we hardly advise NOT TO USE Microsoft Internet Explorer (known as “the navigator with its own standards, leave me alone 'cause I'm Microsoft”).

Registering Henshin (access to AI File Manager)

Hi all:

We have activated a new process to give automatic access to the AI File Manager for all the Henshin users.

All the users in the Second Life group "AI Support" have to receive an object for registering in the web. All the new users will have the "register" object in the Henshin box since today.

If anyone does not belong to the group or have not received the "register", please IM to Asha Eerie.

More info in the Henshin Book.

Henshin notice

We have finished adding Henshin "role" for all the users we could find.

Please if someone is a Henshin user and hasn't got access to the AI File Manager send us an IM from Second Life (Asha Eerie/Impalah Shenzhou) and as long as we can we'll add you to the list.

Another thing is the space for storing files on the web. By now there is 1 MB available, we think is enough for almost all developments, and now is possible to delete files.

Greetingzzz

Status of the migration

The migration has finished, later as we expect due to problems with our hosting.

Right now all of you could access with your old user and password. If someone has any problem with their password just use the link below the login form (request new password).

For all the Henshin users there is a new menu called "AI File Manager". This is the new development for upload files for Henshin; all your old files must be there and Henshin have to work as usual but, if any problem, use the "Contact us" link (left).

Migration completed

Today (August 30th) we have finished the migration of the web.

As you can see it has changed a lot, not only its look (it was Asha's responsibility). There are things that have been deleted(some of the tutorials and downloads) and others are new.

We have created, for all the Henshin users, a new file manager which is the first step for Henshin V (now you can use "folders" and there is a button to make your files private which is not working now but will be very useful soon). We are preparing a manual for that but it's all very intuitive.
