As it is shown in the demo video, the building system is made up of:
- A generator: it rezzes, transforms and position prims.
- A HUD to command the generator.
Exported data (layers, prim definition and building data) is loaded in the generator, that is setted and rotated (all the prims will get the generator's rotation). And the building is launched.
We can carry the whole building out or just one layer. So we can build in a high lag land without danger or we can design again a layer in autocad (or add a new one) and then go back in SL and build it :)
As soon as we launch the building we can stop worrying. We can go for a walk, have a coffee, wag the dog ;-) and when we are back, it will be ready to get texturized.
The average time is 1.5 seconds per prim. And you have to add 5 / 10 seconds every time Henshin had to read the layer information before generating it. So, for example, we need 5 minutes to build a 100 prims building in 10 layers.
We have added some delays for not to overload the sim and fall into “Grey Goo Fence” (http://lslwiki.net/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=GreyGooFence).
