Roadmap

 

Henshin tries to be a complete import/export system and has
many components. The roadmap presented here will show you the features
planned which will affect the components of version 5 of the system.

We have divided Henshin V in four modules:

  • Core .- Includes aiDOM (object model/xml), Henshin Tools, web services and generator.
  • Autocad Palette .- Henshin palette for Autocad and related
  • Opensim extensions
  • Other extensions .- Extension for using Henshin with another CAD/3D programs

 

 

Version 5.0

Version 5.1

Core

  • Specify textures/light/physics by primitive type.
  • Automatically detect primitive type defined with Autocad Palette in dwg (in study)
  • Get parameters from building in Second Life and reimport into Henshin xml
  • Allow prim_base with “user” scripts (i.e. for creating scripted objects)

Palette

  • Increase the number of shapes
  • Basic shape modifiers (taper, cut, etc.)
  • Texture/color management
  • Export Henshin xml without using Henshin Tools.

Opensim extensions

  • Add light and physics while building.
  • Add reposition command
  • Export from Opensim to Henshin xml.

Version 5.2

Core

  • Improve Henshin Tools interface (add specific controls indicating colors, rotations...)
  • Object links management

Palette

  • Add building helpers (fill with primitives, extrusion detection, etc.).
  • Build dwg from Henshin xml.

 

 

Version 5.3

Reserved for functions suggested by Henshin users.
