AI Design Studio en Second Life

Valladolid Virtual

The City Council of Valladolid, on the occasion of the centenary of the Town Hall, will be launching on July 3 its new location inside the metaverse Second Life (c): Valladolid Virtual .

In this place you will found the Valladolid Main Square (Plaza Mayor) and the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento). It is intended as a meeting place for residents (in Second Life(c) ) and as a information source to future city tourists (in Real Life).

There is a group called Valladolid Virtual, inside SL, that you can join if you wish.

On July 3, an article will be made available about the place and, meanwhile... enjoy this video in advance.

Henshin IV launching

Henshin IV - Autocad importer

It took some time, but we think the waiting worths.

AI Design Studio is proud to present the new version of the importer from Autocad to Second Life: Henshin IV.

We not only have done a complete clean-up to SLTools, improving both the way the way of working with the data and the technology (.NET); but we have added new and beter functions, we have reprogrammed completelly the generators for Second Life, improving their efficiency and security, and we have changed the way of working with Henshin to make it more confortable.

Besides of preserving their old utilities (reposition, phantom, visibility, etc.) now Henshin:

  • Is easier to use and more visual. The primitive and layer data are presentend in a tree and the access is donde with just 2 clicks.
  • You can texturize primitives (including repeatings, offsets, etc.). You can work with brightness as well.
  • You won't need to copy notecards anymore. All the data are saved in a single file and are generated from internet (Henshin is completelly online).
  • With a simple HUD you can control several generators and with one generator you can lauch several projects.
  • Is programmed with .NET and compatible with the mono virtual machine. It can be used in Linux, Mac OSX, etc.


And, as usual, we are developing improvements which will include:

  • Physical and flexi parameters for the primitives.
  • Complete integration with Second Life through libsecondlife. You will be able to select VISUALLY textures.
  • Importing from ·DMax (based on SLPrims) and Maya.
  • Improvements in the managemenrt of the generators: the projects will be totally independent.
